Minds Together

Minds Together is a suite of programs and resources developed to support the mental health and wellbeing of those who care for someone experiencing mental ill-health or suicidal distress. The programs are tailored to the experience of providing care and support in a range of settings and relationships. They include information resources and tools, activities, lived experience videos, podcasts and peer-to-peer support.

The Minds Together programs are for partners, spouses, friends, family members, and colleagues - anyone who is supporting someone in their life experiencing mental ill-health or suicidal distress.

The Minds Together suite of programs are:

  • Informed by lived experience
  • Evidence-driven
  • Designed in collaboration with service providers
  • Developed to incorporate capacity building, skill development and knowledge growth.

The programs provide practical ways of dealing with the challenges of caring for yourself and others, including managing increased responsibilities and strategies for sharing the load. Resources are tailored to a range of circumstances, focusing on healthy coping strategies, ways for strengthening communication and relationships, and how to maintain hope for the future, regardless of the recovery stage of the person you are supporting.
