Rural Agribusiness Wellbeing Project

Small business owners in rural and remote Australia face unique challenges to their mental health and wellbeing. This project is being delivered under the national Ahead for Business program to support the mental health of small agribusiness owners working in Australia’s agriculture, forestry and fishing industry.

The Rural Agribusiness Wellbeing Project will help small agribusiness owners respond to the unique challenges they face in rural Australia including how they are uniquely impacted by adverse weather conditions, financial difficulties and red tape.

Assisted by the New South Wales Government through the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) until October 2023, the project focuses on the development of an online, interactive wellbeing plan to help rural agribusiness owners tailored to their unique needs and a video series featuring the stories of NSW agribusiness owners.
