Outside the City research report

Outside the City is a Manna Institute-led, collaborative research project engaging with Everymind, the Tasmanian Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Directorate, as well as community members in Tasmania and NSW.

This report presents the outcomes from workshops from the Lived Experience of Suicide Summit in Hobart and the Rural Mental Health Conference in Albury, both held in 2023 and consultation with Manna Institute members.

The report proposes a call to action that seeks change in the way suicide prevention in regional, rural, and remote communities can be enhanced by place-based intervention, postvention, and involvement of people and communities. The report highlights the need for whole of government approaches.
