Esther is passionate about advocating and implementing positive change around mental health and suicide prevention through lived and living experience. She currently works in program development with the Quest for Life Foundation and as the managing consultant for Police Care Australia.
Her particular area of interest is in first responder mental health and suicide prevention due to her lived experience of trauma from working with NSW Police Forensic Services.
Esther is the author of two non-fiction titles that outline the difficulties faced by police working in the forensic services field and break open the stigma of speaking out, especially in men who commit to first responder vocations.
She is the founder of the Police Post Trauma Support Group and works as a volunteer in crisis intervention and peer-to-peer support. She is passionate about successful career transitions for police with mental health concerns and sits on several advisory boards.
