Everymind to deliver new mentally healthy and resilient workforce training
Everymind is pleased to announce the Institute will be delivering training via a virtual, four-week course in partnership with Hunter Defence to support the mental health and resilience of small to medium enterprises.
The series entitled ‘Building a mentally healthy and resilient workforce: practical skills for leaders’ will run over four weeks and is part of the Defence Readiness Seminar Series, which is designed to support small to medium enterprises to become ‘defence ready’ for engagement with the Defence Force.
Acting Program Manager, Dr Sally Fitzpatrick said as Australia’s largest employment sector, small to medium enterprises have an important role to play in supporting mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
“We know that as a leader it can be tempting to focus on operational stressors and deliverables but one of the most important investments a manager can make is in their own mental health and the wellbeing of their staff,” Dr Fitzpatrick said.
“The healthier and more resilient you and your team are, the healthier a business has the chance to be.
“This series will equip managers with the essential skills to identify, address, communicate and implement effective strategies into the workplace that support mental health and wellbeing over the long term.”
