MIND Essentials
A practical online resource for nurses and midwives
MIND Essentials will provide you with practical information and strategies to support people in your care, who experience behaviours related to a range of mental health issues. The resource has been designed for use by all nurses and midwives working within hospital or community settings across the Hunter New England Area Health Service.
MIND Essentials has been produced in consultation with nurses in general, acute and community settings; clinical experts in mental health; and academic staff of the University of Newcastle. The resource was developed by Everymind, with assistance from Hunter New England Health Nurse and Midwife Reserve Strategy Funding.
We encourage you to use these resources to improve your own knowledge and the nursing care you provide to people who have a mental illness.
Completion of the resource attracts 8 Royal College of Nursing Australia (RCNA) Continuing Nurse Education (CNE) points as part of RCNA's Life Long Learning Program (3LP).
