LGBTI Champions

Everymind has been part of the National LGBTI Health Alliance’s MindOUT! Champions Project since August 2013.

Everymind has signed on again for 2017, to further increase inclusive practice within the organisation and to act as a mentor for organisations who have newly signed up to the project.

Our Institute was originally invited by the Alliance to participate in the pilot of the LGBTI Champions Project following previous partnership and collaboration on work across organisations. The Alliance has been funded by the Department of Health for the MindOUT! project which is designed to improve the mental health and suicide outcomes for LGBTI people.

Everymind was chosen to participate in the pilot because the Alliance identified the organisation as being interested in proactively demonstrating the inclusion of LGBTI people within their programs and is proud to have been featured in the ‘Champions of Inclusion: A guide to creating LGBTI inclusive organisations’.

Meet our Champion

Since taking on her role as the our LGBTI champion, Brydie Jameson has been working with the support of the leadership team to promote the inclusion of LGBTI people across organisational programs and to support responsive, inclusive and safe working practices.

"Everymind has always had a strong relationship with LGBTI organisations such as the LGBTI Health Alliance, MindOUT!, ACON and JOY 94.9, and I’m enjoying building on these relationships and forming new ones with other LGBTI Champion organisations”.
