Ross has been with Everymind since 2012. Prior to joining the Institute, Ross completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Hon I) and a PhD in Biomedical Science at the University of Newcastle. His current role involves leading the Institute's mental health and suicide prevention research team.
Since joining the Everymind, Ross has held a lead research role on a number of projects. Most of his work has been in the area of workplace mental health. Ross played a lead role in the ‘Working Well: Mining in Mental Health’, which investigated the prevalence of mental illness within the Australian mining sector, and the development of a tailored multicomponent intervention to minimise the impact of mental illness on the mining industry. Ross is currently involved in the development, implementation and evaluation of an online workplace mental health portal, that aims to enhance overall mental health and wellbeing of employees in the Australian workplaces.
Ross has extensive research experience and has authored a number of peer-reviewed publications. He is passionate about mental health and suicide research, statistics and epidemiology.
