This leadership position offers the opportunity to provide strategic direction of an institute, which has a national reputation for delivering quality programs and translational research focussed on the prevention of mental ill-health and suicide.
The vacancy follows the announcement that Everymind Director, Jaelea Skehan will be taking 18 months extended leave from the institute to take up a new position supporting the newly appointed Adviser to the Prime Minister on suicide prevention.
During the recruitment process, Everymind Business Manager, Tina Fox will take on the role of Acting Director with strategic support from the Senior Leadership team, Program Manager for Suicide Prevention, Marc Bryant and Program Manager for Mental Health and Research, Dr Gavin Hazel.
This is a unique and challenging role set in the heart of Newcastle, which can contribute to shaping the direction of suicide prevention and mental health locally and nationally.
